ending service as a houseman and stepping into compulsory service is never easy.

it means, more responsibilities, more stressful and more mentally exhausted.

you will no longer be the follower of the team but the leader that need to make decision.

and for a not so smart people like me, it's hard.

following rounds by yourselves can be scary at times,

especially when it comes to antibiotic,

and when you have some scary specialists.

yes, i'm covering two wards now,

a geriatric ward and a chemo ward.

one is usually very caution with the dose while one always use the high end antibiotics.

thus, don't try to test my knowledge on normal dosing,

i had partially kept them aside because my RAM is too small.

alright, enough of ranting.

i'll share some pictures with you guys.

went to Kuala Terengganu in October

because Pinky had won a 3 days 2 nights stay in Ri-Yaz Heritage Resort.

trust me, it really looks like that in real.

it is a nice place to 100% chill and relax.

beautiful sky and nice weather.

total relaxation and am perfectly roasted.

so reluctant to leave such a nice place!

it's mid of November already.

life is getting less and less interesting.

my 2011 birthday present, by myself.

i had been wanted to pick up something new long time ago,

wanted to get myself a diving licence but nobody wanted to go with me.

after a year of working,

and meeting someone who is as passionate as me,

i decided to pamper myself a little,

treating it as my 2011 birthday present as well as my first anniversary working present.

transport to Tioman was kinda easy,

either by road or by air.

since the departure time of the bus don't favor us,

we decided to go for air.

Berjaya Air.

my first time seeing our luggage unloaded manually.

first beautiful view that greeted us upon our arrival at Tekeh.

our dive center is situated at Salang,

thus we need to board on a ferry to get there.

the ferry fare was kinda expensive,

RM20 for a 30minutes ride.

finally we're at Salang beach,

registered at the dive center - Dive Asia,

got our materials and started our diving path.

after our first confine water diving experience,

our energy was drained.

so we basically spent our first night resting and reading up the materials.

on the second day,

the routine was fixed.

more classes and more diving exposure.

and a friend joined us!

it was unexpected but i'm really glad that he treated us as friends,

that he came to us when he's at his weakest moment.

after dinner,

we ended our second night with some beer.

RM4 for each. dirt cheap.

on the third day,

it would be our first time for boat dive.

it's kinda exciting.

but believe me,

putting on full coverage wet suit is such a pain in the ass.

and i only have the one and only picture with me in the wet suit.

haha!

this is my gear. =)

the underwater experience was merely indescribable.

we saw turtle, bumphead fish, barracuda, and etc.

i'm happy!

finally, here comes the end of the whole course.

with 2 confine water dives at shore

and

4 open water dives.

i just LOVE it!!

we had ordered a half roasted chicken for our dinner.

heard it was good,

and it is good.

haha..

since we had beer last night,

we decided to go for liquor tonight.

choices for miniature was none other than just JD.

and we concluded that JD + coke is not a good combination.

initially we wanted to do an extra dive on the saturday,

but guess we're kinda tired,

had too many dives for the past few days.

so we just chill around on the last night in Tioman,

enjoy the sun, sea, and beer.

we had been asking around where to find good BBQ,

at last, our dive instructor, Shah told us,

we should try this, MINI WHITE HOUSE restaurant.

this restaurant is just beside our dive centre

but the outlook was too doggy,

thus we never thought of trying until Shah told us to.

and we opt for the BBQ style with home made sauce.

dinner for three.

and to blend into the Malay culture,

we ditched the fork and spoon,

used our hands to eat =)

the fish was BIG!!

time was good

last night of dirt cheap beer.

and that's the end of my diving trip.

time was good.

those were the days, full of hopes and dreams. (AT, 2011)

it was a year ago,

when all of us joined the working life,

one by one,

as Pharmacists in GHM.

we went through highs and downs together.

we smile through the smelliest shit,

having second, third, forth rounds of dinner and hang outs,

and still reluctant to go back home.

damage our livers on the so call Friday night.

remember the BBQ session at my brother's place?

remember the amount of salad they made? hee..

our never ending chit chat sessions,

lame jokes, loud acts, all the makan adventures.

not to forget the cameron trip.

the night where we all stood at the Hotel's lobby,

no place to sleep.

eating strawberry popsicles like little kids.

goodbye seems to be the hardest word to say.

this is gonna be an emotional month.

i just wanna say:

take care friends.

you all are more than just colleagues to me.

i heart you guys.

will definitely miss you.

Cameron Highland is a place i wanted to go badly for quite some time already.

since the group of us (the PRPs) have not got a chance to go travel together,

we decided to make this trip come true

before ending our PRP.

we headed to KL right after work.

since Mr. Liang had some gathering with friends at the Curve,

so we went there for dinner.

we actually booked a hotel in KL area,

the Wira Hotel.

but when the 11 of us reached there,

the person in charge told us that there's no booking from us.

we were all speechless, because we printed out the confirmation letter too.

luckily we have a backpacker in our group.

after making few callings to the nearby hostels,

finally we're able to find one which was able to fit all 11 of us.

the overall hostel condition was good.

unexpectedly good.

i'll definitely suggest to go back there if we are to have another trip that require a stay in KL.

after breakfast, we departed to Cameron Highland.

we stopped by Tapah R&R to change driver,

and to buy some famous Jambu.

after some winding road and some motion sickness,

we had finally reach the top of the hill!

we're very hungry,

stopped by Restoran Tringkap to have our lunch.

after some vegetables shopping for our steamboat dinner,

we stopped by at a place to have some afternoon tea.

but the food there was really just edible.

so we decided to have our own steamboat dinner at the apartment.

the apartment was quite well equipped.

completed with all the utensils.

and we bought all the fresh vegetables from Kee Farm.

it looked delicious right?

after the steamboat session,

we went to the pasar malam.

ultimate mission of JJ was to get her strawberry Popsicle!

and glad that we found it.

then we continued with Starbucks.

on Sunday,

we woke up early in the morning to avoid jam going up to BOH tea garden.

BOH tea garden cafe open at 8.30am.

we reached there at about 9am,

and the crowd was already coming.

the balcony site tables were all occupied,

so we had to take the indoor seats.

after the light breakfast,

we went to walk around, took some group pics before heading to the next station.

Alvin said this flower contain cochicine,

it'll cause diarrhea if it's not cook properly.

so there were moments when we held our breath until the process was over.

next destination was Rose Valley.

the weather was kinda hot.

and i found dandelion at the road side.

wanted to do some great dandelion shots,

but too bad,

my shutter speed was not fast enough to capture the moment.

after Rose Valley,

we went to the Butterfly Farm.

although the trip was tiring,

some hiccups here and there,

it's still a memorable trip!

hopefully next year round,

we still have the chance to go to some other places together,

despite our posting.

El cerdo, nose to tail eating!

i always tell Pinky that one day,
i'll bring him to El cerdo.
but that day was never there untill that weekend.

it was actually mr Pinky's post birthday celebration dinner from his parents.
since i was in KL that weekend and
since we have enough crowd
so i suggested to Pinky that may be we can try El cerdo.

i was glad that Pinky's dad actually agreed to it.
thus, we called to make reservation instantly.

parking was never a problem there,
because they have valet parking.
you just need to pay abit extra
and someone will park your car for you,
and bring you car to you when you're done.

the ordering process was hard.
there's 8 of us,
but we never know how big is the portion,
how many dishes should we order
and most importantly,
what should we order despite the few famous ones.

so below are the few dishes recommended by the captain.

before they serve us with the starter,
there's complimentary soup for each of us.

it was asparagus soup.
i love asparagus!
so it just hit at the right spot of mine.
huhuhuhu..

the bread were tasty too!
it somehow taste better than the italiannes one.
i almost couldn't stop myself from taking another piece.
luckily i was concious enough.

cold ham with rock mellon & salads

it's absolutely an unique way of eating.
the ham were sliced into thin slices,
you can wrap it with the rock mellon,
and you'll have the taste of saltiness and sweetness at once!

pork knuckles

the pork knuckles were fried to perfect crunchy.
the meat was tender enough,
the dip sauce was good too.

you can try this if you have more people to go with you.

pork ribs

this is my first time trying their pork ribs.
it taste SUPERB!
it's finger licking good~~
and now it had overtake the piglet in my must-order-dish list.

paella rice with mushroom and chicken

this dish however appeared to be an average dish.
there were 8 of us at the table but we can barely finish the rice.
the taste was mild,
and i hate green peas.
thus, i would not even thinking to order it once again.

and it's expensive.
for a portion of rice like this, it costs us RM80.

roasted suckling piglet

Also known as "Cochinillo Al Estilo Segoviano".
we're told that the piglet on the table was only mere 3 weeks old.

El Cerdo had a special way of eating.
To prove that the piglet was crunchy and crispy,
when the dish was served,
one of the waiters would come over and picked a lucky person from the table
to "perform the plate-breaking show".

look, we're all paying attention to what the waitress says.

First, to prove that the piglet is crunchy and crispy,
you will need to use a plate to chop the piglet at the head,
the center of the body
and somewhere at the 'butt' of the piglet,
each part 3 times with all your might!

Then, the waiter will push a big wooden tub towards the table,
make a wish and then smash the plate into the wooden tub.
This is a Greek tradition which symbolises good luck.

it then got chopped up and it's ready to eat!

trust me,
eat with both your hands.
it taste better that way!

since the family was up in kl for my convocation,
of course we have to have a post-convo dinner.

initially we had no idea where to go,
was thought of bringing them for buffet
*dad loves buffet*
but luckily sis's in law's parents came up with this restaurant.

we have never been there before but according to them,
the reviews are good.

Kam Kitchen (甘大厨海鲜酒家)
is located at kampung cheras baru.

they offer quite a varieties of dishes,
since we're 1st time there,
we don't really know what to order.

after some recommendation from the captain,
we had placed our order.

the restaurant was quite full of customers that night,
thus we waited for awhile.
and since it's quite rare that all of us sit together to have dinner,
i took out Piny's NEX5 to take some pictures.

this is their self-made beancurd.
no doubt the beancurd was very smooth, taste good,
but the pumkin taste isn't significant enough,
somehow the taste of the sauce is just so-so.

garlic eel RM36

this taste good. they deep fried the eel slightly before stir frying with the garlic,
thus the eel was not overcook.

soy sauce steamed red talapia RM36.00

the fish is fresh,
but my mum don't like it.
she only likes sea fishes.

chicken RM30.00
couldn't remember the name of the chicken.
but i remember it was stir fried with sliced ginger and oyster sauce.
taste good too.

double taste pork RM30.00

the taste was not bad but i really couldn't recall the taste and the name.
but i think one of them is myonneise and the other one is just normal pork ribs.

soft shell crab RM38.30

the crabs were all chopped into small pieces.
personally, i prefer bigger pieces compare to this.
but the butter was good.
lotsa eggs were used in order to have that fluffy strands of egg&butter.

flower rolled buns MR9.60

surprisingly, the buns were good!
i don't usually eat bun together with rice coz rice alone already took up all the space in my tummy.
but after receiving good comments from the table,
i decided to share half of it with mum.
and it is Nice!

the after math.
we're really bloated as we had ordered a total of 9 dishes.
scary!
so we packed the left over buns for rayner bcoz he loves it.

so it's the official day of my convocation.

we're told to be there early in the morning
kononnya to wear our robe properly.

ended up we're stucked in the preparation room for few HOURS!!
they kept delaying the time to start..hurmph!

after hours of waiting, finally they lead us out of the room.
we thought "yeah, finally it's gonna start already."

no, not at all.

we waited for another hour outside the hall.
to wait for all the guests to be seated.
*including my parents who reached there soooo late*

so camwhoring is how we spent our time.
luckily Pinky was still there, so he helped us to took quite some pictures, although all of them were kinda over-exposed.

grabbed a pic with dad while waiting for mum.
he was very happy because this is the first convo he attend.
both my elder brothers graduated oversea, thus only mum went to their convo.

no, no, i'm not that fair nor pale.

i know, it's over exposed! but i still like it alot. =D

yes, finally, i'm officially a graduant!

due to some unforseen circumstances, our convocation ceremony was postponed.
it was supposed to be in Dec 2010,
but later it was rescheduled to 26 Feb 2011.

the notice was very short
and all of us were rushing to book air tickets, acconmodation,
and yeah, to apply leaves!!
*which happened to be the hardest part*

i went to KL on 24th because there's a full day rehearsal on 25th as well as the graduation dinner.

the ceremony was held at the Putrajaya International Conventional Centre (PICC).
although the hall was quite small,
but the ambience was really nice and classy.
most impressive was we had live band over there!

early morning, we gathered in the room to try out our robes.

wearing robe is really pain in the ass,
i must really thank the kakak who wore that robe for me.
her fingers were swollen because the robe material was so thick and she had to push those pins through it. >.<

huhu, guess i'd disappeared for quite some time ever since after my 1st A&E call.

it's all because i'm using a broadband now.

trust me,

it's as slow as snail.

don't ever put high hope and believe what the company tells you.

it's just the standard procedure for the saloon to temporary straighten it so that it'll look nicer for AWHILE.

i seriuosly hope those tagging and colors and readings and highlighting will get me a PASS!

just give me a pass for god's sake.

notheless, i would like to thank those pharmacist in enforcement.

they had did a great job, i guess i wouldn't had survived without the tutorial they gave.

and to mr Neo who was kind enough to borrow me his Code of Conduct,

which appeared to be totally useless in the exam *not even one single question from there*.

we can still go for korean dinner before i stepped into the exam hall.

wee..

i was having korean steamboat craving at that time.

luckily Pinky love spicy food too.

because i was able to took leave x2days & time-off x3 times during the whole attachment.

i took 2 days of leaves on friday & monday because i thought that our convocation will be on 4th Dec 2010. but due to some can-be-forseen-problem, our convocation is postponed to next year 2011. Gosh, just give us our robes and certificates. we don't need the ceremony then.

since i'd applied for leave, i just take it as a short getaway from work.

inital plan for that short holiday was to go either 'Singapore or Bangkok or Bali or Langkawi.

looking at the raining season, i don't think it's wise to go for a trip now.

thus, i just went up to kl for few days, spending some quality time with mr Pinky.

during the 1st night upon arrival,

we went out to meet his uni/kl friends (finally) who are all drinkers.

i think his friends are all sugar-rushed!

but no doubt they're a bunch of fun friends.

Pinky took few shots that night, so ended up i'm the one drove him home since he's on the tipsy side. glad that he's still concious enough to recognise the road, if not i would have ended up some where in Mars. lol.

on the 2nd day, we went to meet up with Rayner the little rascal.

he was so cute and totally in love with Micky.

he just sat in his stroller quietly while waiting for his parents to do some shopping for his coming soon baby brother. so we brought him to visit the Pet's Wonderland. he's getting more and more macho. can't wait to see him again, cant wait to hear him saying "love you"endlessly!!

dinner time, we meet up with Jaecy who has finally come back to Malaysia after 2 freaking long years. not only Jaecy, Justin, Denden, Wei, Mean & Calvin joined the buffet session too.

according to Pinky, we really eat ALOT yet we are still small in size.

hahak!!

the food in Tao cuisine are not bad just that some waiters are kinda irresponsible. he went back home without submitting our orders hence Mean & Calvin were waiting for their food for 30mins. bad.

long lost Jaecy

after dinner, we decided to go for a drink somewhere else.

due to Pinky's short pants & slipper, we can only enter The Opera at sunway pyramid.

and i finally tried the famous Hoegaarden but i think it was kinda diluted already since Pinky and Justin said so. so i'm still waiting to try the non-diluted Hoegaarden one day.

on the 3rd day, we went for Jojo Panmee.

arh..i miss the chilli already!!

then we headed to Pavillion to do some shopping =)

it was unexpectedly cheap to shop at Pavillion during sales.

bought a top from FCUK + pokka dot skirt from fashion market + a pair of heels from vincii cost me only RM100!!

we went for Godiva for tea break.

hhmmm...nice Rapsberry Chocolixir!

the macaroons was so-so.

thanks Pinky for spending me.

it took me so long to redeem this reward from him.

so this was the outfit for the day.

Pinky's no-longer-fit-into-it-shirt.

he said they looked nice on me..=)

guess this is the first time he sees me at least to dress up abit compare to normal day with shorts/jeans + t-shirt.

the night was quite chilling, and since My Elephant was fully booked that night, i was able to ease my another craving --> Spicy Chicken Pot <--- with CC!

luckily CC thought it's nice too because not many people like it.

of course my dear lappie with broadband,

a bottle full of milo kosong

essential references (e.g. Drug info handbook, BNF, antiobiotic guideline, hospital formulary, etc)

lotsa food to keep you to stay awake (sandwiches & chips)

and also magazines!!

all these helped me to sail through my 1st ever A&E call,

and the praying was working pretty well,

no query from doctor,

no TDM to run,

only few trips back to inpatient pharmacy during the peak hour

*due to the tragedy happened, 12 died and more than 40 injured*

and last but not least,

thanks to my partner =)

Pulau Kukup 2010

Pulau Kukup is a mangroove island located at 1km offshore from the main town of Pulau Kukup in Pontian, Johor. it was kinda spontaneous trip planned during a drinking session few days back. i was sighing that i'm gonna start work soon and hope to have a short and sweet holiday before it. surprisingly most of them supported the idea and there we are, left our foor prints there, at Pulau Kukup =)

after walking for around 10mins, finally we had reached our chalet.

whose eyes bigger?

upon arrival, we're greeted by the the lady boss, and immediately she told us that she had already prepared our lunch. think we're kinda hungry at that time, we finished off 3 or 4 plates of meehoon, feeling satisfied. then the aunty came again, informing us that there'll be a visiting session to the fish farm later in the afternoon. she asked us to chill out first because the weather was kinda killing.

30min later, while the meehoon was still in my tummy semi digested, aunty came in with a huge pile of fried prawn crackers!! we're full and the tastiness of the crackers just made us eating non-stop! and the chilli tasted so well too along with the crackers.

5pm, aunty came in again, asked us to get ready because it's time to visit to farm.

along the way out, we stopped by a few times to buy drinks, the jelly etc.

they had came up with different types of jelly already, red bean, bobo-chacha, cendol etc.
i find the cendol one nice.

this was the 3rd meal the aunty served us after we had checked in. scary~~!

we're still full from the pre-dinner and aunty came in again, announced that the BBQ dinner was ready. our reaction was kinda funny, imagine bunch of eaters complaining about eating again!

"huh?? eat again???!!!!"

i think we had used that phrase frequent enough to express how much food they had served us.

this is only 10% of the food! the chicken wings and corns were still rotating at the roaster.

the seafood was fresh and nicely cook.

we really couldn't finish off the food, our tummies were severely bloated!

sw over-eat again, and we're worried that she'll throw up again but luckily she didn't. or we didn't notice???

so nice of the aunty, she kept the food for our supper.

and eventually we did finished the food during our marathon mahjung sessions!

the money handover ceremony witness by all of us.

and that's the lady owner of this house, our caregiver for these 2 days.

this is the contact of the owner. they're bunch of nice people, treating us very well and feeding us non-stop! one down side of it is, you cant see the sea from the house but overall, the house condition was good, despite the not so ok sound system of the karaoke.

we did bought some back home as souvenirs though. haha.

before heading back to melaka, we stopped by Muar for our dinner.

this Ting Ting Restaurant was chose, Kz said their fish noodles was highly recommended by his friend, thus no harm to give it a try since we're a whole bunch of yau-kui.

but the service there was kinda disappointing.

1st, the waitress never appologize when she accidentally spilt Jun's tea, luckily it was not boiling hot.

2nd, the waiter mistakenly gave us an extra 1/2 bird, we did asked him to confirm that it's ours because we already had 1/2 bird on our table. he said ya, this is yours, the other 1/2 was not fully cooked just now. ok, we believed him and happily eating it. but the boss charged us extra for it. HELLO, IT'S NOT OUR FAULT K? we did asked and confirmed before landing our forks and spoons on it. real bad.

after that not soooo happy dinner, we're moving around Muar to search for nice otak otak. SY bought quite alot of them. i never try so couldn't comment on its tastiness. so we headed home after that.

so this is the end of our Pulau Kukup eating-non-stop trip.

fun and full!!

really enjoy this short getaway before joining the work force in Hospital.

it was 1993 when i first stepped into this place,
innocent and still believe the existence of Santa.

yes, i was only 7 years old
doing my primary 1 in this school

although this primary school had existed more than 70 years,
it never have an alumni body,
until today.

i bet my classmates miss this place alot,
played ping-pong during recess time;
being the only class being punished, standing in the hall;
the only class that teacher actually threw our exercise books out of the class and etc.
and just to let you know,
we were in 6A, 1st class of primary 6.

the memory was bitter sweet.

do you still remember the school anthem?
hahahahaha!

the last time he celebrated my birthday with me was 12 years ago,

when i was 12.

and i held a birthday party inviting my primary classmates.

yes, i'm 24 this year, and he's here again,

i was craving for Japanese food awhile ago since it's HARD to get good food in melaka.

No Delicious, TGIF, Chilli's, Italiannes, Zanmai, Rakuzen, Hoitong Steamboat..etc...

but Pinky was so sweet,

he found out that there is one Japanese restaurant in melaka

which had good reviews on their food.

since it's my birthday, Pinky got us a small bottle of sake.

according to the waitress, this is suitable for ladies

as it has this bubblish sweet taste.

exactly like sparkling water with alcohol.

this is the unagi set that we ordered.

it came with a bowl of rice, fruits, potato salad and soup.

trust me, it tastes good!!!

i'm not a fan of fish skin, but this unagi skin was grilled to perfection,

with a bit of crunchiness yet soft.

and it is not very expensive.

but i couldn't remember how much it is.

we're both fans of sashimi,

of course, we have to order it since it's my birthday celebration.

huhu..

have you noticed how thick the sashimi are?

it may not be the best tuna belly,

but they are fresh and most importantly,

this sashimi set just satisfied both our craves!!

i'll definitely go back again for this.

i miss yaki tori alot,

was kinda surprised that they do serve yaki tori.

each portion comes in 2 sticks,

just nice for me and Pinky.

the chicken was soft and juicy,

the taste was good too.

one more dish that not to be missed is

Dragon rolls.

the special combination of the prawns and some other crunchy ingredients

just made us couldn't stop eating.

thus, the result of finishing the food is

getting both our tummy rounder!!

lovely pinky's itenerary from 3rd-7th july (pt 2)

hee, the laziness kicks in and hence this post was covered with lotsa spider webs, storing as draft for quite some time..so..

this is the itinerary for the 3rd day.

Pinky asked me whether i have any place in mind that i wanted to go long time ago, so i told him, can we go to Bukit Tinggi? he agreed to it immediately! i was really happy because i used to ask someone to bring me there long time ago and the reason he gave was he doesn't know the route there. i thought there's something call Google Map?? so i'm really glad that Pinky agreed to my suggestion.

our initial plan was to start our journey at 9am, grabbed some breakfast, packed some sandwiches to munch when we're up at Bukit Tinggi but we ended up departing only at 12 something, we both were playing with Rayner and the weather was so hot!

my sister in law is from Ampang, i asked her the route to my favorite yong tau fu shop (Hong Hong ampang yong tau fu). they got the best fried dumpling in town *in my opinion*! my mum never fail to eat there whenever she pays a visit to in law's mum.

there we go, up the hill to Bukit Tinggi!!

the weather was scotching hot, but it was really fun, spending half a day up there with Pinky, talking, self-camwhoring, laughing and Pinky piggie-back me to the car coz i was too tired walking already. weee~~ first time experiencing piggie-back by someone! then we headed home for dinner.

saw this lorry on our way back, it was modified into a van-like vehicle. i guess the angmos had drove it across a few countries already. quite cool huh!

after dinner, we headed to TBC convention. Pinky needed to work. went there to unload 2 MBs and park them into the hall. it was really scary to see Pinky unload the cars from the trucks because both trucks were either too high or too low comparing to the loading bay level thus the helpers need to put some supports to make sure the cars can successfully unload without a scratch. i was sweating already looking at the situation but Pinky was still very cool with it. and the best part was, Pinky need to do a 3 point turn within that small + narrow compound! i was really amazed because i think i would had sweat both my hands and feet out if i am to be driving these 2 cars. they looked enormously huge in the loading bay.

after all the hassles, finally Pinky fetched me and we both entered the lift in the car. kinda weird though and you can actually felt the lift building up the momentum to go up.

and thanks to the guy standing beside the car, he was the one assisting and watching the directions for Pinky throughout the whole process of unloading, 3 point turning and parking into the hall.

it was in deed a rare experience! thanks to Pinky for that exposure and willing to share with me and show me what he requires to do for his job. good job Pinky, muacks!

Pinky was working on Tuesday, so it was free & easy until dinner time. Pinky's mum invited me to join them for dinner, she was cooking fish & chips, trust me, it's good! yummy ~
since ah Guan kept asking us for yumcha, we sacrificed our movie session and went yumcha with bunch of primary school mates as well as helping Guan with his survey. how nice of us right Guan? as usual, when all the monkeys meet, talk cock sing song session will never be short. we ended up going back home at 1am. fuh~sleepy but it was fun catching up with them! too bad, no pictures taken during that night.

so 7th july is the day for me to return to melaka. luckily the bus station had shifted to Bukit Jalil, which is kinda near to my place. my initial plan was to leave at 2pm but it was pouring in KL, thus it was delayed. Pinky was sweet enough to send me off *which was totally off schedule* and we nearly missed the bus because i was too concentrating reading magazine. my bad. Pinky ran and stopped the bus with his huge umbrella, huhu..and sadly we didn't even hug because the driver was shouting "cepat! cepat!".

and hence, it's the end of my KL short getaway. i really appreciate everything that Pinky did for me. love you lots, xoxo!

lovely pinky's itinerary from 3rd to 7th july 2010 (pt1)

like what i had mentioned in the previous post, i took leave for few days and had a short getaway to KL. Pinky was lovely enough to come up with this tempting itinerary, although it was not the first time he did this, i still feel very touched despite of his heavy workload in the office.

this is also one of the way to remember the happy moments we had/ we planned to do when we're both old *provided this blog still exist*

so the itinerary started off on 3rd july, 3pm. but too bad, due to some unforseen matters, my arrival was delayed and we're only managed to go for the grocery shopping @ the Cold storage at 7pm, for our dinner ingredient. luckily Pinky was smart enough to list down the things that we need so i guess we spent less than an hour to grab the necessary things and head back home for dinner preparation. and if u do follow my blog, u'll know which post i'm mentioning. by the way, for those who don't know about it, this is the post --> cooking with Pinky

we started our dinner at 10pm and we're just in time to catch the football match. we're both tired thus we decided to just stay back home to enjoy the match as well as helping Pinky to do his ear waxing therapy. now Pinky knows why i was terrified the first time he did the therapy for me, the flame was really scary!!! so we did side track abit from our 1st day itinerary, but it's ok since it's just a guide, not a MUST to follow everything mentioned there.

on the 2nd day, Pinky need to wake up early in the morning for his work when i was still having my beauty sleep, huhu, Pinky felt imbalance about it though, huhu!! since it was mentioned in the itinerary that we'll be going to Ikea, we met up with Ji, and had our lunch in Itallianes and got our tummy bloated forgeting there's a buffet to catch for our dinner >.<

it was fun catching up with Ji and forcing Pinky to finish the food, huhu. we then walked around in the Ikea to burn off some fats & calories before heading back home to get ready for dinner. it was kinda rush, gave up Bubba Gump dessert =( pick up my nephew and straight to Sunway Pyramid. it was my brother's birthday, so we decided to get him an ice cream cake, miss rayner the rascal so much, muacksss!! the Shogun japanese buffet was just so-so, not going there anytime sooner i think.

we couldn't stuff in any more food into our tummy so the yumcha session was not initiated. we both went back home and rest since we got a road trip on the next day, yuhu~~the long awaited Bukit Tinggi road trip!!

the not so far away land of singapore universal studio

finally the universal studio of singapore had launched which was followed by lotsa promotion from various travel agents.

the elders are mostly attracted to their new casino

while us the young ones are more keen on the universal studio.

now that they had this promotion:

free SDG10 if you're entering casino

free SDG 5 for food&beverage; SDG5 for souvenir if you're entering universal studio.

so we decided to go there on one fine day.

me, sis, mum and dad.

after reaching at the destination,

sis and I were hungry,

and many recommend this Loui's NY Pizza Parlor

they have a wide variety of traditional Italian pizzas as well as some local Singapore favourites including Hawaiian pizza, tandoori chicken pizza, vegetarian pizza and more.

if you're seeking for some combo,
they offer this combo which consist of
- a regular cup of coke
- a piece of pizza of your choice
and a piece of tiramisu
this combo is SDG10.90

can you see how huge it is??
we only manage to finish off 2 pieces of chicken wings,
1 piece of pizza, the tiramisu and half cup of coke each.

the chicken wings are superb!!
and it's not expensive at all.
almost the same price you got it from some chiplak food center here.

after stuffing ourselves with food,
packed the unfinished food,
we then wanted to start to have fun.

but sadly,
this is the time when the sky started to pour!!
so we're sitting at the kaki lima,
waiting for the rain to stop because not all places are with shelter.
and,
sigh..
there goes our mission impossible -->
to complete all the rides and shows.

we decided to put on our raincoats.

it was a fun experience though..huhu..

and only til the end of the day we realized that we're the only two green girls out there.

while waiting for the rain to stop,

both of us were moving around and see what show can we catch.

and it was the 4D movie.

it was showing Shrek, with donkey sneezing and spiders brushing your feet.

but it was really fun and the 3D effect didn't got me dizzy this time.

both of us trying out the fiona princess and shrek's headbands.

it was funny that the color of the raincoats matched the headbands.

after the 4D show, we tried our luck on some indoor rides.

and yes, you should try all the rides!!

i only managed to try the revenge of mummy.

and it was FUN!!!

but remember to keep your bags in the locker first before you go queueing up.

WATERWORLD

luckily the rain had stopped after an hour or two.

and it's waterworld's showtime.

the crowd was scarily large,

all waiting infront of the gate,

waiting for it to release the seats.

the overview of the stage

do not underestimate the size of the stage.

it might looked small to you,

but you can never imagine how mind blowing the show is.

we were both still wearing raincoat,

why?

because....

the seats were divided into few sections.

the dry zone,

splashh zone

and soak zone.

so the audience get to choose their seats according to their own preference.

we had our rainncoat on, but we're not keen on getting soak,

thus we chose the splash zone.

i'm not gonna spoil the interesting part.

but this park is highly recommended.

watch it and you'll know why.

the JURASSIC Park

there are few rides which were highly reconmmended by my sis.

but the waiting time is just too long.

imagine you need to wait for an hour for a ride.

if it wasn't because of the rain,

i would had went and queue up but the rain took away too much of our time already.

guess i can only go back there again to try them out.

the FAR FAR AWAY land

after loitering around the FAR FAR AWAY land,

we moved to the next part which is the

still under construction's

MADAGASCAR park

the schedule opening is on late 2010

since we still have our SDG5 each to spend,

we basically enter each souvenir shop to hunt for our souvenir.

sis got herself a t-shirt the last time she came,

so she gave me her SDG5 this time.

frankly speaking, it's kinda hard to shop even with SDG10 in hand.

finally i got myself a notebook.

i've been rotting at home ever since i came back from my last trip (Singpapore),

so i decided to find Pinky for few days,

and here i am, in KL for 5 days.

it was kinda late when i reached at Paramount.

after helping my nephew to settle his new room,

Pinky and I went to Cold Storage to shop for our dinner ingredient

since i promised him that we'll be cooking our dinner together.

after the hassle of cutting and preparing the ingredient,

we started cooking.

or shall i say i started cooking because Pinky was still preparing his ingredient for his bruchetta.

so, the dishes of the night were:

Leggo's Napolentana sauce angel hair by me

diced tomato with garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper with pinch of dried oregano by Pinky

it was meant to be used for bruchetta,

but we're too full already,
thus we gave up bruchetta.

A&W rootbeer in Hoegaarden glass =.=

it was supposed to be Bacardi cocktail

but Pinky was too thirsty and thus ended up with rootbeer.

guess what??

we only managed to finish our pasta and grilled capsicum.

the rest were packed and kept in the fridge.

we definitely over estimated our apetite!!

this is the first time we cook together,

no doubt, it was fun,

going shopping together,

choosing the ingredient..

cooking and tasting the food together.

but next time, we shall not be too excited

and so ambitious in preparing the food,

dun wanna make my tummy and your tummy explode k?

every morning, i wake up with an empty feeling.
aimless and dunno what to do.

so, it's the post syndrome of graduating.

although i might seem busy with my travel marathon,
the loneliness still accelerate and build up intensely especially when i'm back from one place.

guess i'm not used to the long holiday.

it's June already and i'm back from Chiang Mai a week already.
due to the lack of internet connection at home,
i got lazier to screen through those nearly 1000 pictures i took in Chiang Mai,
without screening, it had further delayed my mood to blog about it.
so Melissa, just bare with me for awhile ya, hahahahahaha...

and, now i realized how much commitment both parties have to put in when u're in a long distance relationship. thanks for everything Pinky, i miss you, xoxo!

pack my bag and off we go to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
this is the 1st time i'm going to Thailand, that's why i'm so excited. huhu..

after the kuchai lama food court was abolished,
it was replaced with rows of shoplots,
with alot of good food there.

i'll be finishing my degree in one week time,
putting the final exam aside,
the girls spared some time to gather,
to have a great dinner,
great chat and laugh..
with tonnes of pictures snapped,
memories captured.

it was hard to decide which restaurant to go.
kc and i are big fans of Gai gong bou 重庆鸡公褒,
but jcca's tummy is weaker than me,
so we better not take the risk to endanger her tummy.

so kc suggested Taipei Walker.
i wanted to try it for some time already since few of my friends gave good reviews on it.

they serve typical taiwan food,
if u're a taiwan food lover, u should give this Taipei Walker a try.

here comes our orders:

satay sauce mutton 沙茶羊肉饭 RM 12.90
every set meal comes with a bowl of rice, soup, pickle papaya and potato salad.

this mutton taste so good.
the meat was tender with acceptable mutton taste.
it's a great combination of satay sauce and mutton.
i personally think this is a must try when u visit Taipei Walker!
if u're a mutton lover lah..

satay sauce beef 沙茶牛肉饭 RM12.90

it taste something like the satay sauce mutton,
great combination too.

taiwan style sam pei chicken 台式三杯鸡饭 RM12.90

the sauce was very appetizing,
the amount of chicken they served was quite huge.
the chicken was well cooked,
the breast was not dry,
the meat was juicy.
just like any other sam pei chicken.

stewed chicken rice 卤鸡腿饭 RM12.90

i didn't try this.
but phy said it was good!
she said the sauce was very appetizing,
and was arguing with jc that hers was better than the sam pei chicken.
so i need not comment more on the tastiness.
not to forget the drumstick is damn huge!!

honey roasted chicken rice 蜜汁鸡腿饭 RM12.90

haha, ya it's roasted chicken but from the picture,
u can see it's actually bread crust fried chicken right??
we were also 0.o when the waiter served us this.

but it's ok,
the chicken taste good too.
i personally don't think that the sauce match the name of the dish.
it was not sweet and with strong taste of rice wine.
the chicken was great without the sauce..haha..
the taste of the sauce is too subjective to be judge whether it's good or not.
so do have a try if you wanna find out the exact taste of it =)

i am not sure of the taste,
but i think it's just so-so.

i still prefer snowflakes xD

after finishing all our food, we started camwhoring..

it was a Tuesday,
and it was well known that Tuesday is Earthquake day in the Swenson's.
but it was kinda sad,
because they just terminated the promotion in May.
we only gotta know about it when we're in the shop,
and were informed by the staff there.
so, no luck for me =(

since we're already in SS2 area,
and we already had our dinner,
we decided to continue our dessert plan.
so we went to Tim Ban Gorgor 甜品哥哥 which was recommended by xs.

there is a huge varieties in Cantonese food culture,
one of them is their desserts.
it had become a must try item when you travel to hong kong.
lately, the sudden rise of a few dessert shops had created the trend in Malaysia too.
so one of them is Tim Ban Gorgor 甜品哥哥.

甜品哥哥 offers more than 150 types of desserts
so i was actually having hard time deciding which to choose.

if you can read chinese,
those in Whites are the famous ones serving in that shop.

the interior was ok,
nice ambiance ,
a great place to meet up with friends and chat the night away.

it was kinda sweet that they offer FOC water supply.
you can have as many cups of water as you like,
cold one, hot one, warm one,
your wish!
but, with self-service.

after flipping the menu for a few times,
we had finally made up our mind.

bean curd dessert 山水豆腐花

and according to xs:
it was like the 1st bloom of spring melt in your mouth,
sending pulse racing to your brain,
stimulate all your senses,
indicating that this is that taste of

pretty normal tau fu fa!

while for this,
the watermelon taste fresh& juicy,
the sago was ok,
but the coconut milk taste horrible.
it taste like the pre-packed powder form santan.
it was definitely a huge disappointment for me
since i'm a fan of sago+coconut.
sorry to say,
but even pasar malam one is better =S

fresh milk stewed Hasma 雪蛤炖鲜奶
RM 13.00

and this,
frankly, i taste nothing but the smell of milk.
ya, fresh milk stew what,
what do you expect??
but i guess this is really nutritious and Hasma is good for health as well.
should ask WT whether she had a good night sleep that night xD

sago with kiwi 奇异果西米露
RM6.50

orh, this, JG only described it with one word
"Sour~~!!! >.<" haha, i guess it just taste like normal sago with additional of kiwi. but of course, kiwi = vitamin C JG had his whole week of vitamin C supply already.

red bean with ice cream 雪糕红豆冰
RM8.50

surprisingly, i find this good.
may be because it was served with Vanilla ice cream
*arg, anything for Vanilla ice cream..^.^*
the red bean was soft,
and it was not overly sweet.
i usually don't take sweet things at night because it'll make my throat itchy
and i'll end up sleepless the whole night.

and here comes the weird statement from Mr. XS again:
" red bean ice cream is perfect dessert for ladies that are having period.
why?
the reason is simple.
red bean help to produce red blood cell,
which most ladies donated alot during period,
2ndly, having period will create mood swing thus not happy,
so ice cream is known as happy food,
by eating it you'll feel happy,
unless you've tooth ache where you'll feel misery."

i was not having my period at that time ok!

but what do you think???

it was back in 2006 when i started my year 1 in CUCMS,
without really knowing what is Pharmacy,
how tough it is?

and now,
it's 2010 and i'm graduating real soon.
in 2 weeks time to be exact.

9th April 2010
it's a night we shall remember.

it's our Pre-graduation Dinner,
organized by year 2 students,
at IOI palm garden hotel.

*this is a really long post with tonnes of pictures, BEWARE!*

i had forgotten to take a pic of our door gift.
the door gift was great!
and i totally love the tapioca chips!!

while waiting for the dinner to start..
what else can we do except going around and camwhore!!

since the theme was actually masquerade,
we did borrowed some just for photo-taking.

we're just too lazy to get ourselves one because there's this rules:
we can only put on our mask when the VIPs are not around,
means u can use it before and after the dinner.
hurmph, weird rules.

the program started at 8pm and we can only enjoy our dinner at 9pm.
we were actually dead hungry..
looking at the stainless steel food container in the middle of the table.
drooling lor..our saliva..

finally after the lame magic performance,
we're able to eat.

at last~

so it's the usual malay style dinner.
i seriously think that the portion is so small.
definitely not enough for 10 eaters.
and it is God damn expensive!!

but i remember the squid and beef was good!

after eating, it was award presentation.

- student valedictorian award

congratulations to syapiq and marlyna!!

then it was our performance.

can't believe that we're the ONLY batch that is doing performance for the consequently 3 years.
1st year, we had some simple dinner at Restoran Nelayan with seniors and lecturers;
2nd year, we did a drama, live drama..not pre-recorded one;
3rd year, we did some choir, which i think we did an awesome job;
and we're expecting to enjoy and relax during our Pre-grad dinner,
but ended up we were requested to do another/Last performace..
so..
4th year, we started the performance with a sajak by me, maya & ajeet, spirit of 1 malaysia, along with the slide show prepared by intan; sang a song "kenangan terindah by Samson", giving out flowers to the lecturers and wrapped the whole thing up with some really touching speech by mr ajeet.

what more to add?
it was an nostalgic feel when the curtain opened and we started singing the chorus.
"bila yang tertulis untuk ku,
adalah yang terbaik untuk mu,
kan ku jadikan kau kenangan yang terindah dalam hidupku...."
although it's a love song, but it just matched our feeling perfectly at that point of time.

frankly, i enjoyed it alot!!
with the super tight schedule we had in our final sem,
even we ourselves hardly see each other in the uni due to different attachments in different hospital,
we still managed to squeeze out one night,
u read me right, JUST ONE NIGHT of practice for this performance.

Restoran Sunrise Duck Rice

it was one of the weekends that the 6A monkeys meet up and have some outings.
we had a mini pot-luck at kw's place the previous night til nearly 3am,
*shall find time to blog on it, sorry!!*
and decided to try out the famous Sunrise Duck rice at paramount.

it was a long over-due plan, but i'm glad that we'd finally made it!
although it was only 3 of us,
kw ffk us, sw was sick/ back to mlk..
so only me, hy & xs
while cc & sh need to work.

this is the soup.
some find it nice, some find it unacceptable.
for me, it's just so-so.
but i do think that most of the customers love it
for e.g. my bro and sis in law

the soup was a mixture of sour, sweet & salty (all the "S"sss..)
find it kinda hard to describe the exact taste though..
you should try it out yourself and tell me,
whether you like it or not?

here comes the duck!!
the duck was roasted to perfectly golden brown with super crispy skin.
*good news for those who loves skin!!*
the meat was tender too, i just couldn't stop eating.
ended up i left half of my rice uneaten with a mountain of duck bones

i actually dun remember it's a whole duck or a half duck.
but looking at the price RM49, it should be a whole duck.
whole duck enough for 4,
while for us, it's enough for 5!

after packing another additional 2 packets of rice, soup
herbal sauce & chilli..
off we go to find cc at klcc..
by LRT!
because klcc was having pc fair,
and we bet that it will be hell difficult to find parkings.

must camwhore abit while waiting for the LRT

see, the duck rice came all the way from PJ,
hop onto the LRT in the MB paper bag,
carried by xs..
just to give cc a heart warming lunch =)
so sweet of us lar..

and hy said we're doing another crazy thing.
but i think it's not very crazy,
just abit impromptu lor..
LOL

blur us, we only found out the sh's working in subang parade after we reached klcc.
luckily cc's colleague was kind enough the finish sh's portion..

last week was at HKL psychiatry ward.
it's kinda fun & scary though..

finally, here comes the day of our very last project of this whole degree,
the social pharmacy -->
Pharmacist & You career talk.

during the whole session,
we're supposed to introduce what is the real Pharmacy.
we are no longer staying in the basement, hiding behind the counters.
but we're now up in the ward,
taking care of patient, optimizing the drug therapy,
improve patient's quality of life,
checking some medication mistakes overlook by doctors...etc..

we started the session by distributing some puzzles to the students.

after they had completed the puzzle,
they will present and tell us what do they think about the picture.
does it related to Pharmacy?

SSP students are smart, most of them gave the correct answers
although some help and ideas were given by the facilitators.

after the talk, we started with booth rounds.

we started with the career booth.
su & wani were explaining the path from spm to reach Pharmacy,
the qualification and etc.

then we exposed them to some simple health screening techniques.
how to calculate BMI, how to screen blood glucose level, blood pressure reading..
and what are the complications if those levels were not well taken care of.

then naj & syud talked about weight management.
SSP is a girl school, of course this will be the main concern by the young ladies.
learning how to eat healthily, which very important.

kak sya & MNR talked about teenage health problem.
for e.g. acne problem, menstrual pain etc..

this will definitely help them alot i guess.

the pink corner which was incharge by me.
they were so excited when they saw the breast dummy.
it had definitely helped me to achieve my objective of this corner,
create awareness of breast cancer.

sharing our experiences as budding pharmacist
one of our objective in this project.

games session:

we had exposed to the student on how to do basic prescription screening,
tablet counting and capsule filling.
they found the game quite interesting though..=)

we also had some quiz, to give out prices..

it's infectious disease attachment this week.
it's kinda relaxing compared to internal medicine
because we only required to clerk 1 case each day,
present on the following day.
thus, total of 2 cases out of 4 days.

and it was raining this evening,
destroying my mood of having dinner outside,
was searching what can i use in my fridge
and i came up with some lettuce & minced beef.

so i decided to cook bolognese pasta using Prego's sauce,
with the additional sambal from dad, basil & italian herbs.

it was a simple dish but moja just love it i guess =)

he had 2 plates of it =)

see, even moja said it's good!

who says i cant cook?

wahahhahaha...

so i died

health campaign in Perkampungan Orang Asli, Bukit Tadom

it was 2 months ago when we're assigned to do a health campaign
at this Kampung Orang Asli, Bukit Tadom.
finally, everything had ended successfully.

still remember the days we had to call for sponsors,
getting posters,
health screening apparatus,
getting money from uni..

we're in our final semester now,
we kept on whining that we got no extra time to do all these,
but looking back at the past 2 projects,
we actually had some really great time spent together,
photos taken..at least we'll graduate with tonnes of good memories,
sailing through the last few months of our degree life together.

this will be a super long post,
as usual, the pictures will tell the story =D

we did had fun painting and drawing..

then few of us went to hang the banner there.
frankly, it looked so nice there!!

after reaching at the balai raya at around 8am,
we started setting up booth, decorating the halls and etc.

after setting up, villagers started coming in,
we were just waiting for the VIPs to start our event.

since we're all future pharmacist, this is the best chance we have to educate the villagers
since alot of heartless businessman selling counterfeit medication to them,
even famous Panadol got counterfeit ones.

4. cancer awareness booth

me, phy & jacy were in-charged of breast cancer and breast self examination (BSE).
the outcome was kinda good.
i guess most of the ladies, except the really old ones,
had went and listened to us.

we even explained using breast dummy,
pictures of sign & symptoms of breast cancer.

i would say it was quite effective,
since the ladies had the chance to actually touch & feel the lump present at the breast dummy.

then we also had ajeet, jane & maya explained on lung cancer and smoking cessation program.
we brought the specimens along which also did quite a brilliant job in scaring the people. wahahhahaha...

everybody was really playing their roles well.

when the villagers was doing their health screening,
we go around and help to carry their babies.
this baby is so cute right?
she just leaned on me, and sometimes she'll smile =)

after that we took our turns to have our lunch,
prepared by Moja's aunty.
guess everybody was too hungry,
my camera's battery died, pip's camera got no sign of it.
but the chicken rice prepared by his aunt was really good.
i accidentally took a huge piece of breast meat,
to my surprise, it's juicy and flavourish.

Dong Zen temple 2010

ok, this post will be full of pictures coz i'm too lazy to describe anything.

it's the usual custom that the Dong Zen temple will have this lantern festival during CNY every year.
i went there the 1st time when i was in A-Level,
joined the photography club members adventure trip.
but of course, i only have those superb useless compact at that time,
we can only be the models for them..
kinda pity them when i think of it..hahaha..

went there consequently for a few years and realized actually there was not much changes every year, so i stopped going on last year.
but this year, coz it's the year of Tiger
*which is my year =D*,
i decided to ask my emo junior to go along..

we went there on the 14th day of CNY,
the place was so crowded..arg..
this time, the photos were taken using my LX3 as well as pip's nikon D3000
mayb i wasn't familiar with the nikon setting,
i really prefer to use my LX3 compare to nikon
*which is kinda waste lah, DSLR all by myself man..sigh..should learn more 1st before attempting!! x(*

bukit cahaya trip

went to bukit cahaya with some friends on Chap Goh Mei (last day of Chinese New Year),
this is my second time going there,
7 of us planned to go there
but ended up only 4 of us made it.

bukit cahaya located at

OPERATING HOURS:

8am - 5pm (Tuesday - Sunday)

The park is closed every Monday except public and school holidays.

ENTRANCE FEES:

Entrance fees are RM3 (adult) and RM1 (for child up to age 11 and senior citizens).
Additional fees to enter the Four Seasons Temperate Garden are RM3 (adult) and RM1 (for child up to age 11).

before entering, we had our breakfast there.
the nasi lemak was soso which was RM2.50 each.
expensive.

at bukit cahaya, you can choose to either rent a bicycle there and cycle around,
or you can walk around, or even board on to a bus like what we did.

at first, they wanted to have a rough idea of how this whole place looked like before deciding whether to cycle around there or remain the same idea (bus ride),
but when the bus stopped and made a U-turn at the sungai empangan Baru,
we decided to go down and have a look there.

it was not bad at all.
they have some talapia fishes there.
u can feed them, it's FOC,
and see how those fishes gobbling down the pellets.

after sungai empangan Baru,
we went to the FOUR SEASON TEMPERATE GARDEN.
it's already end of Feb, so i was thinking it must be early spring now.

to our surprise,
it's still winter..
ya, u read it right..
-2 to -7 degree Celsius only,
with no jacket provided.
kinda disappointing..
winter = no colorful flowers!! >.<

and the worst thing was,
all our cameras were fogging after we left the room..
and we had to just wait for the lens to dry off before shooting any pic.

we spent more than 30min at this spot,
looking at cc & kw doing their jumping stunts.

while waiting for the bus to return to the main entrance

after bukit cahaya, we called xs to meet up for lunch.
the weather was scotching hot but since we're so near to klang,
we decided to try out the klang famous Bah Kut Teh.

the weather was so hot and made me loss of appetite.
i was struggling with the amount of rice on my place,
which is only about 1/4.

then we went klcc to fetch cc's gf in xs's little myvi which the petrol signal already blinked.
it was raining, and we couldn't find any nearby petrol station.
xs was slumber about it
but the rest of us were kinda freaked out.

thought of catching a movie at mid valley
but was terrified by the queue and the movie showing time.
so we just find a place,
sit and talk and eat..again..

cc spent us on some ice..

damn xs pulling my ear! =S
if not it'll be a nice picture lor..

then we summed up the day by taking our dinner (ya,makan again) at sri permaisuri,
ate the pasta recommended by cc.
it was cheap! delicious! large portion!
RM4.30 for this set.

it was really sweet receiving messages after the outing!
i'll make sure we'll have more outings like that k?

i miss drawing,
i seriously do.
i love the concentration i gave during drawing.

it's been awhile since i last produce an art work,
was browsing through some blogs and came across this blog by May Ann Lucudine
she's a philipino visual artist,
love drawing cats.

but i personally dun like to draw animals,
looking at her art works making me feel like drawing again.
so i decided to copy this pic
since i'm too lazy to think of my own design.

look at the colors, so vibrant..
just love it.

luckily last few weeks,
i brought back this box of Faber-Castell color pencils from home.
had been keeping it for God knows how long..
but i'm glad that finally i'm using them again.
i think i only used them for a few times because i didn't like the texture of the carbon
always prefer Buncho's.

start drafting out the outline on a piece of double A paper.
the surface was just too smooth and making the coloring part harder.

smooth surface + antique old color pencils,
i tried my best to color them..
trust me, it's hard!
i was actually pressing the color pencil so hard on the paper,
until i fingers hurt =(

huhu, i thought i need at least few hours with the poor quality color pencil.
but i did it in an hour i guess.

huhu..
satisfied~~

it was months ago when my eldest bro got married.
he had found the girl of his life and living in castle happily ever.

this was the flower that the beautiful bride was holding.
the soft pink petal roses just matched her so well,
sweet and soft.

after weeks of leaving it there,
normal drying process took place.

remember the day of the 1st complete version of thesis submission?

we're so damn happy that we're done with our 1st complete version of the thesis!!
most of us were rushing altering the killing reference, format..
you alter something, the alignment will run,
and you need to just edit back page by page..=.=

had our 1st meal of the day at 4.30pm O.0"

and after days of continuous reading our own thesis from the 1st to the last page for few times,
to make sure that we can still leave the viva room in one piece,
the viva ended already.. =D

we're given 2 weeks time to amend everything including hard cover binding.

so, everyone was really excited on the day of final version thesis submission.
no matter what,
we had spent roughly a year time on producing the thesis.

then, we started our camwhore session!!

just love this, everybody looked so cute~~!!
too bad some already submitted theirs,
and didn't bring along their own copies..=(

then we started bringing our thesis,
putting in at different places,
arranged them in different patterns..

they're the models of the day!

vehicle accidentS!

i was driving happily at the backstreet of Domain,
excited about the primary friends gathering
and i was kinda late already since sw asked to get ready by 7pm.

i seldom use the backstreet because i normally park my car in front of the shop lots.
but it was drizzling, so i park my car behind, nearer to the entrance.

i was kinda slow at speed because i'm not familiar with the exit,
while my eyes were searching for the left turn,
suddenly
"BOOM!!"

my first reaction was WTF!
there were 2 Bangladesh crashed into my car, literally lying on top of my hood
=.=!

i went down to check my car,
it was definitely their fault, because it's a one way road,
and they came out from no where, without looking at the traffic.

my baby orange is injured again!!

the bumper was gone,
and there're some shattered pieces in the headlight.

they were just construction workers, i called my dad to ask him what should i do.
if i am cruel enough, i can call the police right away.
they got no licence, couldn't find the motorbike's number, not sure whether they're legal workers or not...
my car is still functioning, so i was thinking not to be that mean,
just by one call, i might had send them all back to Bangladesh.

dad said the bumper will costs around RM600 including the painting.
they got no money to pay me, but i insisted.
at last, case was settled with only RM124.

i thought i had did something good, so i'll have something better in return.
but i guess God is trying His very best to test on my endurance.

this morning, i was going to the class at 9am.
i always reverse my car carefully because there are alot of stupid foreigners speeding at that road.
i looked at my left & right of the side mirrors, making sure there was no car coming,
then i started to reverse my car out of the parking lot.

"BANG!!"

@.@??!!!

WTF!! since when got this car behind my car??

that car was stupid enough to slow down and stop behind a reversing car.
it was very obvious that i had reversed my car 1st, before the car came and stopped behind mine.
because my car only scratched at the part near its front tyre.
if he's the one stopping behind my car 1st,
i guess i would had ran into his door, not the tyre.
right?

worst thing is, it's not his car, it is his brother's car.
sigh,
anyway, the scratch was barely noticable,
i gave him my number and i told him my university,
just hope that his brother think it's ok,
and will not ask me to pay for his painting.

man, i'm so sick now..
sick of having vehicle accidents.

it's only few days apart! wtf.

gonna call my mum to feed the Tiger God for me,

oh, i didn't realized i didn't update for almost a week already.
my bad. sorry..=D

i'm such a weak girl.
i got all the bad genes from my paternal and maternal side, except for..being chubby..which i consider myself..quite lucky??

i have constipation since i'm very young. i was rushed to ED when i was in primary 1 for acute stomachache. it turned out to be nothing but was having too much faeces in me, making me ill.

i was diagnosed with lazy eyes when i was in my primary which i found out that my grandpa was literally blind at the young age, might be due to this problem too.
had to travel to kl on every Wednesday just to visit that doctor at Jalan Ipoh; spent hours sitting in front of that rotating machine, doodling on the plastic plates. luckily i love to draw, if not i'm sure it'll be such a pain in the ass for me..>.< style="font-style: italic;">lar.

then, i inherited the allergy gene from my dad. we both have rhinits. mine was quite bad. sneezing every morning, having running nose for weeks if the weather is bad. and never ever try to ask me to tidy the house. because i'll end up sneezing + running nose + sore eyes + fatigue at the end. i remember once, i was fetching my sis to school, i sneezed, and i saw blood on my tissue. freaking scary though..but it was just some minor capillaries injury, no big deal.

again, from my dad. we have really bad digestive system. let's talk only me.
i'll have severe gastric pain if i consume rice more than 2 times a day. even a table spoon of rice will make me ill. scary huh?

after joining college and university, when the stress level strikes, i'll have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). continuous diarrhea for months, decreasing my appetite, can only have food intake of a cat's portion. it was the worst phase of my 24 years life. without any effort of exercise, my weight dropped 5kg, making me looked like a walking skeleton..and my complexion was really bad..dull to be exact.

lately, i experienced something new.
the 1st attack was in my secondary. when again i was having acute stomachache, i knew i need to go to the toilet, but it was so damn far. i was brisk walking and yet couldn't managed to get there in time and black out in the canteen. luckily i grabbed the chair in time, sat there and i think i black out awhile. students thought i was resting there since it's early in the morning before class.

2nd and 3rd attack were similar, but the location was at my own home. fainted in the toilet for awhile too..

4th attack was quite recent. i sprained my neck. instantly i felt that i couldn't breath, nausea and vomiting, couldn't stand and walk for around 15min i think. that was the scariest because i had panic attack too, it was the first time i thought i snapped my ligament or veins or what so ever..making me nauseated.

the latest attack was just few days ago, when i brought my mum and aunt to do their follow up in a private hospital. i paid the car park ticket and was walking towards my mum's car. and YES, i tripped and sprained my right ankle right infront of the main entrance of the hospital =.=. instantly, the aura came. i dare not step forward anymore because i know i'll get very weak and will not able to support myself. my sis ran and took care of me. she tried to walk me to the car but i was like a crab. i couldn't walk straight..my mum rushed down from the car too. i ended up squatting beside a car to let everything get over.

so, i realized my pain threshold is really low. my bro even asked me: will you faint if i suddenly poke you with a needle?? =.=

the amount i showed is just the 1/10 of the whole tiny bottle x(

it was then my mum decided to pamper me with this traditional supplement. i guess by looking at the pics, i think you already know what my mum got for me.
ya, it's the Eu Yan Sang Bak Foong Pill 余仁生金牌白凤丸
it's quite expensive and i was force to take it for my own health
*mum still nagging...lalala...*
i need 2 glasses of water just to finish that one tiny bottle of pills *kill me please, i hate swallowing pills!!!*

viva attack

when are we meeting again??

just had my viva today.
others were quite satisfied with theirs,
but i'm not.

i'm not being skeptical or what,
but things just didn't turned out well.

supervisor had mentioned,
minor corrections include grammar mistakes, format..etc..
while major corrections include insufficient content, wrong methodology..etc..

i'm stucked between both,
and i don't know i'm skewed to the minor or to the major.

of course,
format of references and some spacing general problems
+
they think my results were too general..
they can be break down into more specific & detail..
=
alot, ALOT of alterations need to be done,
in TWO weeks time.

i'm doomed!

where's my twilight??

it's 4.23am 14th Jan 2010.
still wide awake at this wiiwang wang hour.
am tired;but not able to sleep.
possibly due to the increased age,
body can no longer tolerate with that small amount of caffeine.
i only had a glass of Teh-ais. thought it's nothing.

or was it because i read a friend's blog,
and was not able to get over it?
but i'm glad that she had finally overcome the hard feeling,
facing the obstacles alone far from hometown is terrible.
i'd not experience any of it,
but sincerely, i could feel what she was feeling from her blog.

frankly, i wasn't close to her during primary & secondary.
but i was amazed by her decision,
putting down the pride and head for her dream.
i was totally surprised by her move.
and she is now, realizing her dream,
while i'm still here,
looking at the stars, hoping they are the same on the other end of the horizon.

should i just step out of the box?
am i able to be that independent?
i cant even answer those questions myself.
pathetic.

it's a dream of mine, going to UK & europe at least once in my life time.
don't ask me why there?
am planning to go there after my graduation, at around june/july/aug this year.
but i don't even have any plan yet.
i don't know whose able to host me when i'm in UK *only for a few days*
i don't know whose wanna go to the Europe tour with me.
all the uncertainties.
just hate it.

how i wish i can just sign up for a 1 year course there.
so i can earn my own pocket money and travel to places i want myself,
without begging people to accommodate me/ bringing me around.
really hating the feeling..

a new year supposed to have a new beginning.
i think most of you started this year with new resolutions,
hoping to get rid of the bad and to welcome the good.

i think i'm not that lucky,
as in..
although i spent my new year moments with some beloved friends
bloating ourselves with ikan bakar + seafood
drinking icy cold milk tea at old town
while coughing my lungs out.
my bad i think,
i started this whole new 2010 with
a little frustration
some complications
reluctant
disappointment
and
don't feel like doing anything syndrome.

some told me,
the first half of 2010 isn't really a cup of tea for me
lots of obstacles
bumpy roads
but i'll overcome them
and i'll be enjoying on the 2nd half of 2010.

p.s: i'm having my last semester on the 1st half;
graduating on the 2nd half.
it's kinda true right?

hurmph..
wondering if my europe tour dream will come true.

p.s.s: who wanna go Uk with me? or whose willing to host me?? sigh..

1st day of sem 8

1st day of school is already killing me.
result was out. it was beyond expectation. no complain on it.
paid my final semester's fees. good.
knew my internal and external examiner for my research project.
oh ya, i got the 签王 (king of the lots??).
i hope she won't be too harsh on me. i hope i can still leave the room in one piece during viva.
not good.
research presentation on 13th jan & viva on 20th jan. not good.
He said we're getting lazier during the holiday. true. horrible.
left my lovely blanket at home. no blanket for a whole week. terrible.
i still have 2.25 of Twilight left. wondering where to slot in the time to finish them.
losing confident approaching the end of Bpharm. sucks.

and i was jeopardized with tonnes of complications.

my bro and sis in law just got back from their honeymoon.
they went to hong kong & shen zhen (深圳).

he called and was excited about the pendrive he bought me from shen zhen.
it's a 400GB pendrive.

broga hill

everybody's been talking about Broga Hill,
praising on the scenery up there,
the exciting journey and etc.

since few of us were so bored,
someone suggested Broga Hill.

i surveyed around, most of them gave good reviews on it.
kw said it's kinda tough for girls,
i was @.@!!
but what to do,
although i'd told myself i'll never do another mountain hiking again,
but i decided to give Broga a try =D

my exhausted face.
frankly speaking, i was really weak at that time,
having shortness of breath,
probably due to the lack of sleep..huhu..
coz we departed from ji's place at 3.45am

there were 4 peaks all together.
but we failed to conquer the final peak..
lack of stamina..what to do?
only ah ho, zs and ch successfully made their way there.

luckily ji grabbed a box of choc from her fridge before departing.
if not i think i couldn't make it back to the bottom.
i was too exhausted!

it was so steep,
i spent all my energy just to make sure i don't slip and fall..
and roll down..>.<

we thought we won't be able to catch the sun rise at first because we were so slow.
when we reached the 3rd peak, due to the heavy mist,
we thought we're not able to see a clear sun rise..
but i think the lady luck was with us.

see, some even climb all the way up for photography session..
really pui fuk pui fuk!!

Broga Hill is 50km away from Kuala Lumpur, which locates nearby Semenyih town, just go ahead and make a left turn into Taman Tasik Semenyih. You will pass by University of Nottingham Malaysia. Approximately about 3km drive along the road, you will see Rabbit Fun Park at your right. Park you car at the roadside and start your journey. Refer to the map below:

p/s: the most important thing to bring if you plan for a Broga hiking is definitely a big torch light or an emergency light. if not you'll have to stay at the bottom until the sun rise. it's very very very dark..
secondly, ladies, please remember to bring along a hiking stick or an umbrella. it'll save alot of your energy when you make your way back.
