Bali day 1- Baliku villa
this is where we stay for 3 nights. although it's quite expensive compare to others staying in hotel (USD168 per night), we really enjoy the stay..
this is the entrance. the door was made to be so small because the balinese girls used to kahwin lari, so the family will have to make sure that the girl only able to bring some of her clothes but not some valuable things from the family..

you can always read or just lying around here but none of us had actually set foot on it. only one of the worker we brought to travel along had his massage on it.

the swimming pool..

nice and comfy right? =)

Bali day 1 - Dreambeach
after visiting Uluwatu, our next destination is Dreambeach.
basically it's of course beach + sun + cold drinks. but we're not prepared to get wet and we really thought may be they have some specialty over there. but..nothing is there but beach, sun and cold drinks..
the road to reach the beach was terrible. there's no proper road but full of rocks and holes..very dangerous indeed. as we moved on, we saw this really nice small hill covered with greens and there were cows and one little white ducky there. that scene looked really harmony..it's something like the New Zealand milk advertisement..xp

this is really a surfer's paradise. the wave there is strong and enable them to surf.
all of us just stood there and watched them while enjoying the sea breeze..

when i was struggling with the rocky ascending road, my bro waved excitedly at me..
YA, there was a stall, really small stall, selling sate babi..!!! >.<
we're so excited because basically we don't get nice sate babi in malaysia.
we talked to the lady selling it and my dad took a pic with her.

the sate cost only 7,000rph for 10 sticks!!! (7,000rph = RM2.30)
cheap right!!!

see!!! they call the pork with some fat --> sum sum...*sounds like our hokkian 三层肉*
some of you may not dare to eat the fatty part, me too..but this time, i tried and it just tasted FABULOUS!!!!! because the lady never add any more oil while grilling the pork, the fatty part had actually reduced and became crunchy surface but soft inside!!
we seriously miss this a lot!!!simply delicious~~!!! yummy yummy!!
and so sad to say that other part of bali selling sate babi don't have the same unique taste..=(
i only managed to eat ONE..so kesian...
if i'm going to bali again, i'll go to dreambeach just for this sate babi!!! huhu...

Bali day 1- Uluwatu
after having our not so satisfying lunch, we headed to our first destination - Uluwatu.
according to our tourguide, 80% of people staying in Bali is Hinduism. thus, there are so many hindu kuil around Bali. Uluwatu is located beside the sea and it's full of MONKEYS!!!
and, they are all very nasty..

for those who're wearing short pants, they have to rent the sarong from them. i think it's a kind of respect..
there was monkeys along the way. at first, the monkeys looked cute but after a few incidents happened, we totally changed our perception on them..=(

we're not allowed to enter that part of the building. only those followers are allowed to when they're doing the offering, which is 3 times a day.

very beautiful right?

this little rascal had taken my hairband!! and it still following me, trying to show that "see, your thing is with me!!" and it actually bite off those beads..may be he really think that those are flowers and seeds..

Bali day 1- Melasti kedonganan cafe
we had our first dinner at Melasti Kedonganan Cafe. it's the famous dine on the beach dinner. too bad there were no more places on the beach when we arrived there but we still managed to get a place nearby the beach, it's just a little further away and your feet won't be touching the sand.
we were given only 3 choices for our beverage, which were coke, sprite or mineral water. all of us chose coke..=)
while enjoying the classic glass bottle coke, we were catching the sunset too..it's so beautiful~~
as the day got darker, the beach became so crowded with tourists..the restaurant beside us even have band going from table to table to sing for them..
finally our dinner was served. it's a set dinner where everybody gets a set of grilled seafood of mussels, squids, prawns, grilled fish and steamed vege.
*the vege and rice are free-flow
my family was so satisfied with the food and the environment. it's raining season in Bali right now. luckily the sky was clear and there's no rain on that day. if not, we won't be able to enjoy the sunset beachside seafood dinner!
after dinner, we headed back to our villa..our tourguide and driver had never heard of this villa before, thus we really had a tough time to find it..stay tune~
