it was 2 months ago when we're assigned to do a health campaign
at this Kampung Orang Asli, Bukit Tadom.
finally, everything had ended successfully.
still remember the days we had to call for sponsors,
getting posters,
health screening apparatus,
getting money from uni..
we're in our final semester now,
we kept on whining that we got no extra time to do all these,
but looking back at the past 2 projects,
we actually had some really great time spent together,
photos taken..at least we'll graduate with tonnes of good memories,
sailing through the last few months of our degree life together.
this will be a super long post,
as usual, the pictures will tell the story =D
we need to draw total of 3 banners
2 for public health career talks
1 for this health campaign
we did had fun painting and drawing..

then few of us went to hang the banner there.
frankly, it looked so nice there!!
after reaching at the balai raya at around 8am,
we started setting up booth, decorating the halls and etc.
after setting up, villagers started coming in,
we were just waiting for the VIPs to start our event.
most of them lost their ways here >.<
the crowd was ok,
although we expected more,
the health screening team was fully occupied at all time.

2. Kids Corner
we taught the kids the proper way to brush their teeth,
hand washing technique
and gave them antihelminth.
it was lucky that we still managed to get the teeth model a day before the event.
thanks to the dentist =D
proper hand washing technique

3. understanding your medication (Kenali Ubat Anda)
since we're all future pharmacist, this is the best chance we have to educate the villagers
since alot of heartless businessman selling counterfeit medication to them,
even famous Panadol got counterfeit ones.
scary huh?

4. cancer awareness booth
me, phy & jacy were in-charged of breast cancer and breast self examination (BSE).
the outcome was kinda good.
i guess most of the ladies, except the really old ones,
had went and listened to us.
i would say it was quite effective,
since the ladies had the chance to actually touch & feel the lump present at the breast dummy.
then we also had ajeet, jane & maya explained on lung cancer and smoking cessation program.
we brought the specimens along which also did quite a brilliant job in scaring the people. wahahhahaha...
everybody was really playing their roles well.
*big round of applause to ALL*
when the villagers was doing their health screening,
we go around and help to carry their babies.
this baby is so cute right?
she just leaned on me, and sometimes she'll smile =)
after that we took our turns to have our lunch,
prepared by Moja's aunty.
guess everybody was too hungry,
my camera's battery died, pip's camera got no sign of it.
but the chicken rice prepared by his aunt was really good.
i accidentally took a huge piece of breast meat,
to my surprise, it's juicy and flavourish.
*thumbs up*
Good job everyone!!
special thanks to 6 juniors that volunteered themselves,
prof shah, prof ros and lecturers,
and all my fellow BPHARM06!!
you guys just rock it well =D
*hugssssss*
p/s: big thanks to the sponsors!!
kodomo lion,
vico,
