the killing TDM attachment..

recently we just had our clinical attachment in one of the well known hospital in selangor.
it was said to be one of the hardest attachment
therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM)
true enough,
it was tough.

i think we assumed it's tough,
that's why all of us actually put alot more effort into this attachment
*not that we don't during other attachments*

we thought the calculation part was hard,
but it ended up finding the PCI is even harder.
patients requiring TDM is taking some narrow therapeutic index medication.
that is why we need to monitor the patient's condition,
to avoid overdose/toxicity.

there were a total of two days attachment.
during the first day, all of us were busy clerking the case,
doing the calculations.

on the second day,
because we were asked to present our calculation on the second day,
all of us actually grabbed every precious minute to check whether we're on the right track or not.

so, ok, we thought the calculation was the killing one..

all the references had became my mini desk..

pip was still busy figuring out his calculation..

nina relaxing there double checking her work..

kak najwa was quite blur through out the whole attachment..

and MNR was missing in action, still busy clerking her case in the ward..

.
.
.
.
..
..
...
...
....
....

you thought this is the end?

HELL NO!!

we're supposed to present our case to our prof on friday morning.
we're expected to leave at noon on the 2nd day of attachment,
but due to some delays, we ended up reaching home only at 7pm..
and imagine with the numbers of hours left,
you're asked to be ready to present your case.

i think all of us just stressed ourselves out at that night..

finally, the friday sun had rise..
went to the meeting room,
and was told that the presentation was postponed!

*what a relief~~*

so it was rescheduled.
ok, the following tuesday.

and i would say pip was the unlucky one to present his case 1st.
prof spent more than one hour on that case,
ended up,
she asked us,
are you guys ready to present after all the comments given to pip?
if not, i think it is better for you guys to go back to prepare again..

i'll see you on thurs after 4pm..

>.<>

this is what happen when you have attachment in the morning,
preparing for TDM at night..
you practically got no time to do anything,
but..
to look for more references..
and to crack your head..for the weird condition the patient was having..

arg...

I WANT IT THAT WAY!!!

snowflake; taiwanese dessert secret

SNOWFLAKE; taiwanese dessert secret!

have you ever notice this shop whenever you're dining at Asia Cafe?
i am now here to introduce you,
the best ice i'd tried so far, in MALAYSIA!!

i'm not sure of the shop's history, because there were too many people dining in that night,
and i'm too shy to walk around to read..
may be next time.
ok?
=D

as you go up the stairs, you will see this deco.
so taiwan-feel..

the line was never ending,
i waited for so long just to shoot the counter with no queue,
just want to make sure that you can see the menu clearly
and this is how the counter looked like.

*click on the pic for larger view*

nah, the interior.
the ambiance was good.
the lighting was very calming,
you just feel like chilling there while eating a bowl of ice..
lotsa couples there though..=D

oh, don't go home without it??
ok lah, i decided to order it.
since it's the best seller/must have in that shop!

in order not to waste your time standing and waiting in front of the counter,
we're given this "beeping UFO" after you'd placed your order.

the function is:
when your ice is ready, it will start vibrating and beeping.
and it's time for you to collect your order

*click on the picture for larger view*

like this!

good right?
we can take our own sweet time sitting down without worrying whether our ice is ready or not..

this is it. the must have in the shop.
it is served with milk.

the grass jelly was fabulous,
the yam and sweet potatoes were amazingly good..
the milk just hold everything together,
with the ice beneath everything.
it is just PERFECT!!

it was as if i was teleported to taiwan,
eating the same bowl of ice back in year 2003..

arg..i miss Taiwan alot!!

i am sure that i'll definitely go back again to try out others..
salivating now already >.<

address:
if you know where is Asia Cafe, you will know where is it.
it's right opposite Asia Cafe, upper floor of a stationary shop.

open from 1pm to 11pm

p/s: always go there before dinner time, if not i'm sure that you will have a hard time finding place to sit. *imagine how good the business is..!*

fried dry noodles

on yesterday, i was excitingly telling my housemate,
i'm gonna make fried onion ginger chicken today, and i totally forget about it.
thus, my chicken cubes are still rock hard lying in the freezer.

after coming back from the clinical attachment
(TDM - one of the hardest attachment),
i was totally exhausted.
yet, there's a stomach to fill.
why human needs to eat?
it is sometimes very headache to think of what to eat.
how good if there's someone cooking for you everyday,
food readily served on the dining table >.<

looking at my dying choi sum in the fridge,
i decided to eat them up before i have to throw the whole pack into the dustbin.

today's menu:

tine's fried dry noodles

let's start with the ingredient:
- garlic,
- chili
- Frankfurter
- choi sum
-
egg
-
dried mee
-
crab stick
- and my dad's home made sambal

of course, we'll need to saute the garlic and chili first,
add in some of the sambal

put in the choi sum and Frankfurter and crab stick
fried til medium cooked.

add in the egg and the mee,
season to your liking.

for mine,
i put some soy sauce and oyster sauce.

done~~!!

lately, i'm always craving for sweet drinks.
i dont want to get diabtes...but..arg, drinking sweet drinks just make me go "Awww..."

hurm, no matter what hardship we are facing,
we must believe that,
at the end of the day,
everything happens for a reason.

hoi tong steamboat restaurant

bluestar asked me for dinner today,
they said they want to try the new buffet sichuan shop in cyberjaya.
but we're shocked to find out that -->
a buffet restaurant telling us there's no buffet on today!!
only ala carte meals..=.=

since they're craving for steamboat,
we decided to go to bukit serdang for Hoi Tong.

all of us were so hungry, that i totally got no mood to take out my camera.
we just eat and eat and eat..

this is part of the mess created.
i know, there's no bones, shells..etc..
because we're attacking the meat!
*the satay chicken was absolutely finger licking good!!*

the scallop was huge, but too bad, it's sandy, not to my liking..
the seafood looked fresh to me but i didn't take any.
not wanting to make my hand dirty kononnya..

huhu, after 2 hours of eating non-stop,
finally we stopped and start eating desserts.
they served varieties of pickle fruits, fresh fruits as well as ice cream..

the jelly that most of them die for when they come to Hoi Tong,
i'm not a fan of jelly, so i have no comment on it =D

the best part during the whole buffet session was with the unlimited refill of ice cream!
*yummy*
*although it's not some glamor ice-cream, normal cheap cheap ice-cream only*
the sugar rush just made my day =D

ah mei and bluestar
my makan kaki..huhu..

zyang
they said we both looked like brother and sister
huhu..
if he's my brother, i'll surely bully him >.<

SUSHI KING RM2 BONANZA

yeah, after a tired day of clerking and counselling patients,
finally it's 5pm!!!

we're thinking to go back straight or to have our dinner first,
since there's one sushi king in the metro point
and most importantly is..
it's the RM2 bonanza 2009!!!
*12 - 15 oct 2009, valid for 2009/10 card holder*
i'm glad that pip had one.huhu..

we got excited and rushed there as soon as we made up our mind
biasalah, to avoid the dinner crowd mah..

luckily the queue was not very long,
we waited for roughly 20 min to get seated.
without further delaying,
we started taking the sushi we wanted from the Kaiten belt, non-stop!

soon without realizing,
i'd eaten that much..!!
*of course not lah, i think it's only 85.83746% lo..*

the mountain of plates..

we did not realized that the RM2 only applied to the rice based sushi,
hence, we had to pay extra for those non-rice based dishes.
*humph!!*

ya, i was asked to pose like that..>.<

fried sotong

been craving for this A-LI SHAN fried sotong for quite some time d
miss its crunchiness even after hours of leaving it there

i thought it's only found in the pasar malam..
*shit also no time, where got time to go pasar malam le..>.<*

but, luckily we found one stall selling it on every night.
i couldn't remember the price
but i think 500g is around RM3.00
100g is around RM5.80

wuhu~~
thankz to mr. Ant for sending this to me..

clinical attachment

started our first clinical attachment on this wednesday and thursday.
i thought it was lucky that our first session was patient counseling.
but guess the lady luck was not with us,
we kept on loosing patients or there was no patient at all for us to counsel.

at the end, we had to recounsel those who were already counseled by the in ward pharmacist.

sigh..

*ya, it was scotching hot!!*

after all..

frankly speaking, i was disappointed when i know, for you, traveling is not your cup of tea.

you think that, spending money going to uk/europe now, is a waste of money. after all, what do i get in return when i'm back?

from the bottom of my heart, traveling around the world is my all time favorite activity. i get to see the culture difference, broader my thinking horizon as well as letting go the negative aura; receiving the positive energy. i love to have memories. i love to remind myself how lucky i am to have such a chance to travel oversea even though i'm not working yet.

may be you don't understand why do i want to go to uk desperately *ok, not desperately, just want to go there very very much*. i seriously can't blame you because you're just a stranger to me back then. it's a reward & a substitution trip to me as in i didn't get to study oversea. you can call it a compensation of that from my family. saving a few hundreds thousands and only spending me a 10k to go to a UK trip. i don't see a problem with it, at least.

the gene of traveling is running in my family's blood. we always go traveling once we have the time and the money because we don't see and feel that the material satisfaction is greater than traveling. we tried more things and we think that it worth our every ringgit and every cent. i don't blame you for not agreeing on my point of view. this is really subjective and i can't force everybody to have the same mind set as me.

according to calvin.L, may be this has already exceeded your traveling budget limit. i think it is. i know you must be thinking, siao ar this girl, spend so much to go to a trip!!
but do you know that, once in my life time, i want to see the pyramid with my own eyes, feel the breeze of niagara falls? i want to see the 7 wonders of the world. i want to feel how great and how magnificent they are. it is useless to keep staying in your own place. you will never improve. *ok, provided i have the money-lah*

after all, everybody have different interest. i can't force you to come with me if you think it's not worth it; just like you can't force someone to like automobile if he thinks that's just pieces of shit steel..

so, i'm not angry, i'm not upset.

sorry, i'm just rumbling..after all, it's my blog title mah right?
rolling stone, rumbling sound..

i rumble all the time >.<

untitled.

i hate to be controlled.
i hate to not able to stick to my plan.
i hate lots of things.

this is me.

after so many years of living here,
i'm yearning to go to a total new place.
where i can do what i want, and act how i want to.

my life is so vague. and i hate it.
i hate to comfort myself, to think that the events that i missed were just pieces of shit!

i'm trying hard, very hard, not to get my brain turning, not to get my negative thoughts kept spinning..

even though i'd been in this situation for 20years, giving lectures to my sis, yet i need to pad on my own back, and tell myself "what to do, it's your family income, just bear with it."
i'm not sure how long can i take it anymore. i'm tired of it.

i'm sick that when everybody is out for party and celebration, i need to stay back.
i'm disgusted when couples get to celebrate their valentine, christmas together, while i need to either postpone them or have them earlier.
i hate that when i have tonnes of duedates, yet i need to put them aside or rush myself to hell and help in the business.

i can't wait to graduate sometimes, just to escape from all these.
i want to be just myself.

emo-ing

why do we need money to live?

hahaha..embarrassed!

erm, i just did something really embarrassing
guess what?

i mistaken this CALVIN with another CALVIN

just because he left a jap comment,
i thought it was Calvin.L whose fooling around with me..

sorry Calvin.O, i cant read katakana, can only read hiragana without knowing the meaning.. wahahhahah...

maggi goreng

ya, my sis ffk for dinner,
i was too lazy to think what to eat after going to gym with Ain.

at first i thought of cooking my same old pasta again
but realized that i finished all the sauces already

i only left with the pasta with no sauce =.=
thus, looking at the packs of instant noodles,
i decided to try maggi goreng myself.

this is really my first time doing this
and Ain as my supervisor,
advising me which ingredient to put first,
what to put last..huhu..

these were the ingredients i used:
- few cloves of garlic, sliced or finely chopped
- some sliced onioins and chilli
- some sliced sausages and crab sticks
- sliced carrot (easier to cook if you sliced it thin enough)
- and of course EGG *how can u leave out egg on maggi goreng*

first, saute the garlic, onioin and chilli til fragrant

then you add in carrot, allow it to cook for a while,
remember to keep on stirring if you don't want to consume any carcinogen!

then, add in the sausages and crab sticks.

add in the spices *maggi spices from curry mee*

fried a bull-eye egg
and that's it!

*i can make nice bull eye egg le..xD*

it was really simple and free of lots of hustles comparing to other goreng goreng stuff..

maggi goreng, I LIKE~
